What a resting font is

Pro lets you keep several fonts at once. When a Pro month ends, a Free account keeps one font open — the rest of your fonts rest.

Resting is gentle, and it's important to know what it is not:

- Nothing is deleted. Every letter you wrote, every version of every letter, every font file you've already downloaded — all of it stays yours, on every font, always. - Writing never locks. You can keep adding letters and versions to a resting font any time. The ink lands and waits. - Downloads keep working. Any font file a resting font already made stays downloadable.

The one thing a resting font doesn't do is make new font files. Your open font's file keeps updating; the others wait.

Choosing which font stays open

When your month ends, the desk asks which font stays open. You can change your mind whenever you like — every resting font's resting tag offers swap, which makes that font the open one (and rests the other). Swapping is free, as often as you want.
