Installing on Windows

Download your font, then right-click the file and choose Install. That's it — it's now in the font list of every app on the computer.

Step by step

1. Download your font from the Font room. It lands in your Downloads folder. 2. Right-click it. 3. Choose Install — or Install for all users if other people use the computer and should have it too. 4. Restart any app that was already open (see below).

You can also double-click the file to preview it first, then use the Install button in the window that opens.

Restart your apps

Windows apps read the font list when they start. Word, Photoshop and the rest won't see your font until you close and reopen them — this is the single most common reason a freshly installed font seems missing. More.

Finding it in the list

Your font appears under the name you gave it. Inkling adds the version to the name so you can tell two versions apart, which means a font you remake sits next to the older one rather than replacing it. Pick the newest.

Removing one

Settings → Personalisation → Fonts, find it, and choose Uninstall. Removing a font doesn't touch your work in Inkling — you can download it again whenever you like.

If Install is greyed out or fails

You may not have permission to install for all users on a managed or work computer. Try Install rather than Install for all users, which puts it in your own account and needs no admin rights.
