Installing on Mac

Download your font, double-click the file, and choose Install Font in the preview window that opens. Font Book handles the rest.

Step by step

Download your font from the Font room. It lands in your Downloads folder.
Double-click it — a preview window opens showing your letters.
Click Install Font.
Font Book opens and validates it. Restart any app that was already open.

Restart your apps

Mac apps read the font list when they launch. Pages, Word and design apps won't show your font until you quit and reopen them. This is the usual reason a new font seems to be missing — more.

If Font Book warns you

Font Book runs a validation pass and can show warnings on perfectly usable fonts. A warning is not an error — if it offers to install anyway, it's safe to accept. If it reports a genuine error, tell us and include what it said: Contact us.

Finding it in the list

Your font appears under the name you gave it, with its version, so a font you remake sits beside the older one rather than replacing it. Pick the newest.

Removing one

Open Font Book, find the font, and choose Remove. Your work in Inkling is untouched and you can download it again any time.
