A tour — Write, Letters, Font

Your font has three places. You move between them freely and in any order.

Write

Where you put ink down. You are shown a letter, you write it, you move on.

This is where you spend most of your time, and where the quality of the font is decided. Write the way you normally write, at the size you normally write. Writing your letters.

Letters

Everything in your hand so far, and everything still waiting.

This is the room for looking rather than making. Come here to:

- see what is still missing — What's missing - spot a letter that came out wrong, and write it again — Redoing a letter - check how a letter will actually appear in the font

If your font looks off and you cannot say why, this is where the answer usually is.

Font

Where your writing becomes a font file you can install.

Make the font, save a version worth keeping, and download it. Getting your font file.

There is no set order

You do not have to finish writing before making a font. Many people make an early one after a handful of letters, install it, see their own hand appear in a document, and go back for the rest.

Your work saves as you go

Leave whenever you like and come back. Nothing needs saving by hand, and nothing is lost by closing the tab.

Getting back to a font

Everything you have made is on your dashboard. Your fonts.
