Getting your font file
Go to the Font room and make your font. Inkling assembles everything in your hand into a font file and hands it to you.
Making it
Making a font takes a few seconds. You can make one whenever you like — after four letters or after all of them — and remake it every time you add more. There's no cost to trying.
If something in your letters would cause a problem, you'll be told before you download rather than after.
Saving a version
A font you make is a working font — it lasts as long as you're working on it. When one is good enough to keep, save it as a version with a name you'll recognize ("first try", "rounder a's"). Versions stay, so you can go back to one. See Saved versions.
Downloading
Download gives you a font file. That file is an ordinary font, the same as any other on your computer. Nothing about it phones home, expires, or stops working.
Install it to use it — Windows · Mac · iPad. If it installs but an app can't see it, that's usually a restart away: I installed it but an app can't see it.
It stays yours
A font you've downloaded is yours to keep — including if you later cancel Pro. See What happens to your fonts if you cancel and Who owns your font.
Free fonts are for personal use. Commercial use needs Pro — Using your font commercially.
